Bear Creek, Overlake boys compete at state cross-country meets

Bear Creek’s five-runner team of David Broaddus, Joey Hollis, Dylan Kern, Luke Poling and Jake Casale took 13th at last Saturday’s 1B/2B state cross-country meet at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.

Broaddus (48th) and Hollis (51st) were the Grizzlies’ top runners with times of 18 minutes, 25.1 seconds and 18:30.2, respectively, on the 3.1-mile (5K) course.

• Overlake’s Erik Risa and Dylan Reynolds competed at the 1A state cross-country meet last Saturday at Sun Willows Golf Course.

Risa took 30th in 17:12.5 and Reynolds placed 37th in 17:20.0.
