In last issue’s column, “No simple fix to school funding issue,” political reporter Jerry Cornfield omitted a key people’s initiative, which directed the Legislature to reduce class sizes.

In last issue’s column, “No simple fix to school funding issue,” political reporter Jerry Cornfield omitted a key people’s initiative, which directed the Legislature to reduce class sizes. Back in November 2014, Washington voters approved Initiative 1351, which would reduce class size and add support staff in K-12 schools. According to King5, the initiative passed with close to 60 percent approval in King County. Can our state legislators find the political will to work for the good people of Washington state?
