Maybe the 22-year-old Redmond Reporter columnist Andrew Villeneuve believes that everybody in the U.S. should be registered to vote (June 26 edition) but this 64-year-old does not agree.
Voting is a right, not a requirement, thanks goodness. I know citizens that I would not let take care of my pets, let alone vote.
If you want to exercise your right then some intentionality and effort is not too much to ask. It gives the citizenry of the U.S. some assurance that you are alive, a citizen, and competent.
Is that asking too much?
