Voting ‘yes’ on props seems like a no-brainer | Letter

I am voting "yes" on propositions 1 and 2. Seems like a no-brainer to me. I have lived in Redmond since 1997, and it has been improving as a city at an impressive rate, making it a wonderful place to live and work.

As a mom of three who has been active in the schools and the community, paying “yet another tax” does not seem unreasonable. “Yes” because I want our parks and trails facilities to keep improving. “Yes” because I want our schools, property and pedestrian crossings to be safer. It is easy to take these things for granted because Redmond is a lovely community of well-kept homes, eclectic commercial areas and beautiful green spaces; but these things that make our city wonderful need funding, and these propositions are not going to break the bank.

Let’s do this, 98052! Vote “yes.”
