The Redmond Little League Junior All-Stars, made up of 13-year-old and 14-year-old boys from the Redmond West and Redmond North Little Leagues, recently won the Washington District 9 Juniors All-Star Tournament at Newport High in Bellevue.
Redmond’s 9-10 Softball All-Stars lost to Kirkland, 1-0, in the District 9 final on Monday at Everest Park. Kirkland pitcher Kya Aldrich struck out 16 of 18 batters for a perfect game, leading Kirkland to the state tournament.

Seattle Academy defeated Overlake, 3-2, in the 1A boys state soccer quarterfinals on May 20 at the Starfire Sports complex in Tukwila. The Owls finished their season 14-3 overall.
Four Redmond High golfers will compete in the 4A state tournament on May 24-25. The girls event is at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco and the boys event is at Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland.
