Mustang fastpitch skid hits three as Roosevelt comes from behind
Playing against Roosevelt on Friday night at Lower Woodland Park, the Redmond High fastpitch team succumbed to the Roughriders in a pivotal seventh inning in a 9-8 loss.
The Redmond High School boys soccer team will hold a car wash from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 1 at the Redmond Athletic Club, 8709 161st Ave. NE.

At a 4A Kingco track meet on Thursday night at Newport High school, the Mustangs had a performance to remember from 2008 4A cross-country champion Mack Young.
Young broke a Storm Shouman’s 23-year-old school record in the 800 meters, running one minute, 54 seconds flat, an 11-second victory which currently places him third in the state in the event. Shouman’s record, set in 1987, was 1:54.3.
In an all-Redmond battle on the tennis courts Tuesday afternoon at The Overlake School, the Owls’ depth prevailed as they defeated the Bear Creek Grizzlies, 4-1.
